On Saturday, October 4, the Stamford Historical Society hosted its second Touch-A-Truck event. Families enjoyed the modern and vintage fire engines, various construction trucks, and a couple of WWII military vehicles.
It was a perfect fall afternoon and great fun was had by young and old. Horns were tooted, and the bell was rung on the Glenbrook Fire Department's “big rig.” The Caterpillar backhoe was a big attraction with a waiting line, and the Fire Rescue vehicle raced around the lawn with its young passengers on board.
There was also face painting, and home baked refreshments courtesy the Historical Society Board of Directors.
… and the photographer's lens broke, but Camera Wholesalers came to the rescue with a loaner.
