Are you a WWII history buff? Former fellow teacher or student of Tony Pavia? Friend of the Stamford Historical Society? Then join us at the benefit dinner in Tony's honor, Thursday, April 29 at 6 PM at the Italian Center on Newfield Ave.
Tony Pavia is currently the principal of New Canaan High School and prior to that worked for many years as an educator and administrator in the Stamford schools. He is the author of An American Town Goes to War, a book based on oral histories of Stamford residents who participated in World War II. This book was invaluable in the creation of the The Stamford Historical Society’s 2006/2007 exhibit, Pride and Patriotism, Stamford’s Role in World War II. Tony generously donated the interview tapes to the society’s archives.
